In today’s world, the increasing threat posed to the everyday individual is rapidly increasing. From the threat of terrorist organizations, lone wolf attacks, and the criminals alike. The number of people that are actively carrying a concealed weapon for their protection is also on the rise. Personal protection is an important aspect of life, one that is often take for granted. The classes that certify individuals to obtain their concealed weapon permit (CCW) do a good job of general overview, however they often do not leave people with the tools that they’ll need should an active threat situation present itself.
During our CWT class, students will be actively working on their weapon fundamentals as they pertain to concealed carry, while being placed in a variety of real world scenarios. The goal is to provide a better understanding and proficiency of how you may react to a threat should you ever be confronted with one. Like any skill in life, practice is the key to proficiency.
Students will be utilizing non-lethal training ammunition (NLTA) for force on force scenarios to provide the most realistic situation as possible. The military and law enforcement communities have used these training tools for years, and now DA1 is bringing it to the civilian sector. This class takes students further into weapons proficiency that far passes the minimum requirements when obtaining their CCW.
A concealed weapons permit is not required to attend this course. Anyone that would like to practice their weapon skills are welcome to attend. If you are interested in obtaining your CCW let us know and we can provide that training for you.
